In 2014, IntroNet
set out to power digital introductions through its Connector
product on the web and in Gmail. Along the way we attracted a brilliant community of connectors who used our system to facilitate thousands of introductions. We learned so much from our users. Their pay-it-forward mindset and dedication to helping others is what kept us motivated and focused.
We used that learning and in 2016, we built IntroNet Groups
and Open Network
to make it easier for people to share connections, information, and expertise. Since launching the app, we learned a lot from pioneers who appreciated the value in exploring and sharing relationships.
These apps became valuable tools for many, but we were unable to find a sustainable product-market fit that would allow us to scale and continue development. As of January 6, 2017, we have shut down IntroNet Connector, Groups, and Open Network.
We’d like to thank everyone who supported us, used the tools, provided feedback, and invited colleagues. It’s that spirit of community that originally inspired us to build these products.
We continue to be passionate about bringing people together and have a lot of experience in how people discover, build and manage relationships. We’re currently exploring opportunities to combine IntroNet’s smarts with other systems, so stay tuned.
